Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros

I was supposed to watch this film when a High School friend posted in our e-groups about the Cinemalaya Film Festival. But then, I was not able to do so for time constraints. This film made history when it has won the Cinemalaya Jury Prize, Best Production Design (by Christina Dy, Clint Catalan, and Lily Esquillon) and a special citation of first-time actor Nathan Lopez. In this film, Nathan Lopez is the 12-year old boy who fell in love with a policeman. Now, this film is on the headlines for winning the Golden Zenith Award at the First Films World Competition at the Montreal World Film Fest. I got this news from the Pinoy Movie Flickr Group Discussion. For some pictures so that you can have an idea about the film, go check out this flickr set. According to Ping Medina (one of the actors in this film), this movie is shot digitally and everyone else used a 35mm film. Congratulations to all of the people behind this film! We’re proud of you!
