One of UP Fine Arts Floats

This was the first time that I got to watch the whole parade. Me and Sha watched it from the AS steps instead of watching it at Quezon Hall which is the last stop of the parade. More people watched the parade and more people participated in the parade as well. There were representatives from UP Manila, Los Banos, Pampanga, Visayas and Mindanao.

UP Los Banos

The UP Lantern Parade is usually held every December 17th of the year. Each year, students, faculty, alumni and outsiders watch the colorful parade.

UP Tomokai’s Parol

The parade from the College of Fine Arts for the UP Lantern Parade 2008 is our favorite. The assorted sushi parol also got my attention as well.

There were also a lot of participants that clamor for No to Charter Change and are supporters of the Reproductive Health Bill.

Fireworks display at UP

And for the final part of the event, there were fireworks display. I was able to get a glimpse also of the fireworks last year and I can say that it’s much better this year. :)
