Wilfrid “Wilf”Hernandez is Wolfmann. He is behind the yummy electronica album dubbed as Diner where you may have heard some of Globe ring back tunes of his songs Piniritong Dalagang Bukid, Fish n’ Chips and Baked Mussels. He was in a coma for two days due to aneurysm. Before this happened, I saw him at Six Underground at Kiko Machine’s Album Launch. His wake is at Funeria Paz Manila Memorial Park along Sucat Road. A Mass will be held this Wednesday night and Funeral rites will be on Thursday at 9 a.m. Wilf, thanks for your contribution in the local electronica scene. You’ll surely be missed.

i’m still in shock. :( wilf was my college buddy. he always has a smile for anyone. classes are never boring whenever he’s in it. we had a 3 day trip to zambales for anthro2 class, where we lived with an aeta community, we’d have bonfires every night and he’d always play the guitar, while we sang. music was a major part of his life.

it’s so sad coz he had so much going for him. rest in peace, wilf.

Wow… I’m extremely late on the news. It is sad to hear such a great pioneer of art and music in today’s Philippines which is struggling to give birth to creativity. I first heard his baked mussels song and the dalagang bukid one… I mean not only did he have the passion for art he was socially aware. I wish his soul only the best as well as his family. And I hope, no, I know he has been an inspiration to many.
