NIN (Nine Inch Nails) will have a concert on August 5, 2009 at the Araneta Coliseum. Thank you Splintr.com for making this possible.
And to make things more exciting, Pupil will be the opening for NIN. And guess what, they were personally selected by NIN amongst the list of bands submitted by Splintr. One of the biggest NIN fans I know is Ria Bautista of Paramita. I guess she’ll be watching the concert. Continue Reading
Manila Paris Confidential on my QIK
2 Comments Filed under Events, Sound Trip
I used SM Megamall’s free WiFi to capture this video on my iPhone using QIK. The video length is around 19 minutes. I was happy with the results of this live stream because they have a nice audio setup made for the band. Manila Paris Confidential is an electronic jazz band. I’m wondering how would be the audio quality if I used it in a typical gig using a 3G internet connection. Based from my experience in live streaming this video, delay time ranged from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. The video got published in a minute.

Last week, a silent protest was held at Baywalk. The protest was lead by Rocked Philippines and even though there were few who attended, I’m glad to be part of it. The tarps were shown in the photo above where used in the rally last Wednesday at Ayala Ave. Continue Reading
No to Con-Ass

It was the night were I followed the hashtag on Twitter #conass because I knew they were up to no good passing HR 1109 in just one sitting. Thank you to caffeinesparks for being our eye there. Yesterday, RockEd Philippines held a silent protest at BayWalk. There weren’t a lot of people present there though but it’s a start. Continue Reading
I posted three blog entries on my other blog on Acer Aspire Timeline, Sandbox: Social and Mobile and Acer Tempo Smartphone series. The Acer Aspire Timeline is a newest series of laptops from Acer giving mobility its true definition. Sandbox is a new social network that’s mobile and localized. Sandbox is brought to you by Smart Telecommunications. Acer Smartphones is a product of the attempt of Acer to enter into the smartphone industry. You can read more about these on the links provided.
It feels like that every time I go back to SM City North EDSA, there would be changes. Going to different parts of SM City North EDSA is like traveling through time. It’s like going back to high school days when you’re in the oldest part of SM. When you go to The Block or to the CyberZone, you’ll see the refreshing modern look. And now, here comes the Sky Garden, a combination of the now and nature which I find attractive in the midst of the busy EDSA. Continue Reading
RockEd Philippines’ One for the Roadie project is something that’s noteworthy and should be supported. Roadies or the road managers are the ones who are taking care of the bands/artists every time they have gigs. They make the life of a musician a little easier. Because of the lack of health benefits and because of their lifestyle (like sleeping really late), RockEd Philippines thought of this project, which is to provide an emergency health fund for the roadies.
