John Mayer: Live in Manila Ticket Details
Filed under Events, Sound Trip

The ticket prices of the John Mayer concert here in Manila are unbelievably high. I’m not sure how true is this information since I haven’t seen it yet in the Facebook page of Channel V Philippines, I even checked out the tour page of John Mayer’s site and the public on-sale of tickets is still TBA (to be announced).
Here are the ticket prices:
VIP - 12,000 pesos
Gold - 8,000 pesos
Silver - 5,000 pesos
Bronze - 2,000 pesos
GA - 600 pesos
Tickets are now available at the office of Channel V. They are located at:
89 Timog Ave.,
Quezon City
If you have more inquiries, please call: 929-2151.
Tickets will be available at Ticketnet and Ticketworld.
Early Bird Rates for the Concert (20% off on Gold, Silver, Bronze, and 2,000 pesos of on VIP):
VIP 10,000
Gold 6,400
Silver 4,000
Bronze 1,600
Anyway, the good news though is that there are early bird rates until April 15, 2010. This is only applicable for VIP, Gold, Silver and Bronze tickets. Just call Channel V office for more information about the early bird rates. Thanks to Vinvin for the heads up.
Anyway, even though the ticket prices are really expensive, don’t expect that you will be seated comfortably. Since SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds is the venue, you will surely be standing up the entire night.

March 18th, 2010 at 12:34 pm
check the blog of ms. C http://www.chuvaness.com
she also doesn’t agree with the tix’s pricing :’(
and a few other people as well :’(

@vinvin,
ang mahal ng ticket di ba
@kalaydoskop,
March 18th, 2010 at 8:58 pm
hi, just passing by since i was googling for sites na may info regarding sa concert ni john mayer since interested din ako. but i have to agree, masyadong mahal! tapos sa MOA concert grounds pa. i don’t think i can pay 8k or 5k para lang makita ng konte ung mukha ni john mayer in person (malamang sa big screen na lang rin hehehe) tapos talo ka pa sa pagod. thanks for the info!
March 19th, 2010 at 8:49 am
i agree with you all!
i called channel v yesterday to confirm.
early bird rates:
vip 10,000
gold 6,400
silver 4,000
bronze 1,000
still, VIP rates are twice as much as the normal VIP prices!
sadness… *sigh*
March 19th, 2010 at 8:51 am
correction 1,600 for bronze early bird tickets
March 19th, 2010 at 9:35 am
Yup, if my friends and I are thinking, kung 2000 lang ang bibilhin mo, mag 600 ka na lang. I don’t have any idea kasi hindi naman ako concert goer, but I am a fan of John Mayer’s music, but reading some blogs, they also think the tickets are overpriced.
March 19th, 2010 at 10:43 am
@ditskydoo,
i just read your blog. the seat plan would be probably similar to paramore’s concert
March 19th, 2010 at 11:27 am
was just passing by looking for ticket prices of John Mayer’s concert. and i’m pissed. way overpriced. Just thinking about the capacity of the venue and assuming a mean ticket price of 3K makes me think that the “other” organizers besides channel V are wanting to make a hell lot of money from John Mayer’s fans.
(wala namang trio sa set. kung a la where the light is sana ung set sulit na rin)
and to think that this was the concert i have been waiting for since forever.
March 19th, 2010 at 11:41 am
March 19th, 2010 at 11:51 am
Will he be signing stuff after the concert?
March 19th, 2010 at 12:23 pm
@Anne and @amorky,
you can try calling the Channel V Philippines office
March 19th, 2010 at 4:58 pm
@karla
standing room ba yung sa paramore? i went to the ne-yo concert last january. it was also in moa but we had seats!
March 19th, 2010 at 10:33 pm
March 20th, 2010 at 1:09 am
anyone has the seating plan for the concert? tx
March 20th, 2010 at 3:20 pm
March 20th, 2010 at 3:22 pm
Is the current price tickets only for invitations? Are public allowed to purchase those VIP-Gold-Silver tickets? How how??
March 20th, 2010 at 10:02 pm

March 21st, 2010 at 5:08 am
@dennys call channel v for ticket reservations. they don’t have the actual tickets yet as of last friday.
March 21st, 2010 at 3:14 pm
Channel V said their Early Bird rates are 20% off…
Do the math for the other ticket prices.
That makes VIP Early Bird prices at Php. 9,600.00.
March 21st, 2010 at 3:33 pm
ayay! mamumulubi tau dyan!
if these are the real prices then i’m just gonna go for the bronze area. xD
there are reserved seats for the bronze and up on ticketworld’s site
March 22nd, 2010 at 10:12 pm
‘Dang mahal naman ng tickets! Dinaig pa ata ang concert ni Michael Jackson kung sakaling buhay pa siya.
March 22nd, 2010 at 10:19 pm
did anybody get tickets already? they announced that ticketworld is already selling but when i tried buying online, the system doesn’t work! then thism orning i heard selling is on hold. why???
March 22nd, 2010 at 10:27 pm
@ditskydoo,
try ticketnet.
go here: http://ticketnet.com.ph/2006/detail.php?eid=1453&res=Y
March 22nd, 2010 at 10:59 pm
@karla
dear thanks! its just ticket reservations where there’s no specific seat number. i have reservations with channel v. they dont have the tickets too as well as the seat plan.
if you go to ticketworld outlet, you get to choose the seat already. didn’t buy yet hoping that channel v has better seats (gold rows c-h are already blocked off based on tickeworld). vip seats not yet sold.
i wonder if anybody had an actual purchase already.
btw, ticketworld is selling the left side, ticketnet the right side tickets. i wonder if there’s any difference.
March 22nd, 2010 at 11:05 pm
i think getting seats that are nearer to the middle are good enough. if you can get the gold row a, get it! it’s like you’re almost in vip but not really hehe
anyway, i think that araneta coliseum is still a better location if there will be seats. at least you could still get a good view even if you bought upper box tickets
March 22nd, 2010 at 11:34 pm
@karla
i agree with you re: araneta. better acoustics! better view with airconditioning.
anyway, still contemplating on getting vip or gold. there’s no gold row a. it starts at row. i studied the seat plan. i’m OC that way. lol.
@krizia
vip tix early bird is 10k. 20% discount only applies for gold, silver and bronze.
March 22nd, 2010 at 11:40 pm
@ditskydoo,
row a was just an assumption i made lolz
anyway, where did you see the seat plan? in the ticketnet website?
March 22nd, 2010 at 11:44 pm
ticketworld site. i find ticketworld more efficient since you can buy tickets online than in ticketnet where you can only do reservation. =)

April 7th, 2010 at 5:27 pm
watched the recently concluded Justin Timberlake concert at the MOA grounds. I tell you, silver nor gold won’t cut it. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GOLD AND SILVER. If you really wanna see JM upclose, go for the VIP. Or just settle for the bronze tickets since you’ll be watching him on-screen anyway.
April 8th, 2010 at 10:22 pm
the script daw front act? is it true?
April 18th, 2010 at 11:38 pm

April 21st, 2010 at 11:21 am
yes, check out john mayer’s website
April 21st, 2010 at 11:04 pm
May 4th, 2010 at 2:25 am
I went to Paramore’s concert and I was in the Gold section which cost me 4k, and I wasn’t really able to see the band members’ faces, only on the screen.
The VIP ticket of Paramore’s concert was 10k.
The concert was held at MOA grounds also, and I went home really tired and sweaty, without seeing Hayley Williams’ up close.(ALTHOUGH THE SHOW WAS GREAT!)
So I guess I’m not going to JM’s concert because I can only afford the silver ticket
May 8th, 2010 at 12:03 am
hahaha mga squatter lang kayo at wala kayong pambili ng pera para panoorin siya. and buy the VIP if you can afford it, no reason to go wasting your money on gold and silver when youre already willing to spend 8000, why not make it 12000? small difference
just saying
May 9th, 2010 at 9:31 am
Ang mahal naman. Dito sa Sydney, bali P4800 lang ang ‘VIP’ tix (Aus$119.50, AUD$1= P 40). May upuan ka pa.
September 10th, 2010 at 11:01 am
Sa GA na lang ako. Magdadala na lang ako ng binocular. hahaha
September 12th, 2010 at 12:57 pm
curious lang po…sino organizer nito?
September 12th, 2010 at 11:32 pm
Fearless Productions and Metro Card Club
September 15th, 2010 at 7:57 pm
Ive been very much anticipated on his Manila concert but the annoying thing is the price of the ticket. Based on common experiences from those who have attended concerts held at Mall of Asia grounds, you’ll get totally frustrated about the venue and the distance from your designated area to the main stage (except if you’re in the VIP/gold areas).
I need to sacrifice and maybe try the Bronze, there’s much more important things to spend than buying a ticket (VIP/Gold) which could have probably gotten me to Boracay already!
September 23rd, 2010 at 10:42 pm
September 27th, 2010 at 10:11 am

Sir Mayer, your “Slow Dancing In A Burning Room” number tore me to pieces. And the encore where you performed “Edge Of Desire” was just pure epic.
Hope he comes back soon! This time, I’ll make sure I atleast get a silver ticket.

Awesome concert! Bravo JM and band. Great set as well save for the part where my wife and I (and probably everybody else) had to crane our necks to get a better view of the video wall ( forget about the view of the stage) when the rains poured and umbrellas - a sea of them - opened on cue. When the rains finally stopped, I felt like asking the band to start the gig from the first cut they played onwards - as if they would oblige - and thought better of it. JM and his band played with such virtuosity/mastery I’m willing to overlook the inconvenience we had to go through buying raincoats,bearing the obstructed view and sitting next to many concertgoers who don’t know how to clap or show appreciation. Unfortunately, JM went off-key with some songs - probably a function of the rains fouling up their feedback system. He also skipped some songs we hoped to hear him play live like DAUGHTERS, SAY and CROSSROADS.
Agree, Araneta would have been a better venue. At the big dome, you get an almost 360 degree view whether you’re seated at the VIP or at the bleachers. It’s rain-proof as well. The edge of MOA is the acoustics which is better vs. Araneta. But Araneta, given the rains last night, continues to be the better venue.
