The ticket prices of the John Mayer concert here in Manila are unbelievably high. I’m not sure how true is this information since I haven’t seen it yet in the Facebook page of Channel V Philippines, I even checked out the tour page of John Mayer’s site and the public on-sale of tickets is still TBA (to be announced).
Here are the ticket prices:
VIP – 12,000 pesos
Gold – 8,000 pesos
Silver – 5,000 pesos
Bronze – 2,000 pesos
GA – 600 pesos
Tickets are now available at the office of Channel V. They are located at:
89 Timog Ave.,
Quezon City
If you have more inquiries, please call: 929-2151.
Tickets will be available at Ticketnet and Ticketworld.
Early Bird Rates for the Concert (20% off on Gold, Silver, Bronze, and 2,000 pesos of on VIP):
VIP 10,000
Gold 6,400
Silver 4,000
Bronze 1,600
Anyway, the good news though is that there are early bird rates until April 15, 2010. This is only applicable for VIP, Gold, Silver and Bronze tickets. Just call Channel V office for more information about the early bird rates. Thanks to Vinvin for the heads up.
Anyway, even though the ticket prices are really expensive, don’t expect that you will be seated comfortably. Since SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds is the venue, you will surely be standing up the entire night.

Sir Mayer, your “Slow Dancing In A Burning Room” number tore me to pieces. And the encore where you performed “Edge Of Desire” was just pure epic.
Hope he comes back soon! This time, I’ll make sure I atleast get a silver ticket.
Awesome concert! Bravo JM and band. Great set as well save for the part where my wife and I (and probably everybody else) had to crane our necks to get a better view of the video wall ( forget about the view of the stage) when the rains poured and umbrellas – a sea of them – opened on cue. When the rains finally stopped, I felt like asking the band to start the gig from the first cut they played onwards – as if they would oblige – and thought better of it. JM and his band played with such virtuosity/mastery I’m willing to overlook the inconvenience we had to go through buying raincoats, bearing the obstructed view and sitting next to many concertgoers who don’t know how to clap or show appreciation. Unfortunately, JM went off-key with some songs – probably a function of the rains fouling up their feedback system. He also skipped some songs we hoped to hear him play live like DAUGHTERS, SAY and CROSSROADS. Pero astig talaga tumugtog – musikero talaga – hindi entertainer.
Agree, Araneta would have been a better venue. At the big dome, you get an almost 360 degree view whether you’re seated at the VIP or at the bleachers. It’s rain-proof as well. The edge of MOA is the acoustics which is better vs. Araneta. But Araneta, given the rains last night, continues to be the better venue.
