Disturbia

My movie review for Disturbia is quite late already. Anyways, it’s better late than never at all. Haha. 😀 Disturbia was directed by D.J. Caruso. The main characters in this film are Shia LaBeouf (as Kale) and Sarah Roemer (as Ashley). Shia LaBeouf also starred in the film Transformers. 😀 According to an FAQ from the IMDB website, this movie is the unofficial remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window.

Synopsis
Kale was driving with his father from a fishing trip. They had an accident and his father died which caused him so much depression. He was sentenced to a 3-month house arrest after he had a fight with his teacher. An anklet was put on him to be able to detect if he leaves his house or not. Because he was already tired of watching cable TV and playing his XBox, he then watched his neighbors as if the windows of his room are different channels of cable TV. One day, he discovered that his neighbor is a killer from Texas.

Disturbia is for the suspense/thriller fans. However, the film is still leaning towards a typical Hollywood film wherein a short love story is injected. I guess I should look for the film Rear Window in video rental stores. 😀
