Kalayo is the band that was formerly known as the band Pinikpikan. Even though their name has changed, their music is still the same. It is the same music we know that is still inspired by indigenous music. The name was changed two years ago if I’m not mistaken. “The 1st Elements National Songwriting Camp 2010″ is a brainchild of 7101 Music Nation. This is a 5-day music camp that will be held on November 14-18, 2010 in Dumaguete, Negros Oriental. A total of 60 participants (20 from Luzon, 20 from Visayas, and 20 from Mindanao) will be chosen by a screening committee. (more…)

Since I haven’t seen Taken by Cars live for a long time, I was glad that they performed at the Globe Flagship Store Launch held a few weeks ago. They played some new songs during their gig. (more…)
I was able to watch the final part of Splintr Unplugged with Sha. For bands like Greyhoundz and Slapshock, the words “unplugged” and “acoustic” would mean the exact opposite of their music. But in last night’s concert in Teatrino, the unplugged versions of their songs are amazing. (more…)
