Mashable refers NuevoStage as a Groupon for Concerts. NuevoStage is for bands who would like to book for gigs. The band will have to rely on “buyer participation” to get a gig. For instance, if a band will get 50 ticket buyers, the show will go on and the fans’ credit cards will be charged respectively. However, if a band will get less than 50 ticket buyers, the show won’t push through and the fans’ credit cards won’t be charged. (more…)

Urbandub to perform live using an iPod Touch

In my recent visit to Power Mac GB3, I found out that Urbandub will perform live in some stores of Apple resellers. It’s interesting to see how they will perform live using an iPod Touch because I’m used to seeing Lalay and John jumping on the stage with their respective bass guitar and electric guitar. It’s interesting to see how Urbandub used Twitter and Facebook. They’re currently running a contest on Twitter where the first three to tweet where will their album launch will take place in Manila will win a copy of a limited edition of their much-awaited album “The Apparition”. They already posted two photos on Facebook that will give you clues on the location of their album launch. The photos posted on Facebook are actually part of their CD inlay and their album cover. I did a test drive of my Canon EOS 500D last weekend at Caliraya Recreation Center. The photo above was taken using a Canon EFS 55-250mm f/4-f/5.6 IS using Aperture Priority with the white balance set to Auto. So far, I like the results on how the color of the image above turned out. (more…)
