What do you think if you’ll see artworks from ten promising Filipino artists along major thoroughfares? Artists that will be featured are: Popo San Pascual, Riel Hilario, Eddie Boy Escudero, Jose Terence Ruiz, Mario V. Fernandez, Gari Buenavista, MM Yu, Christina Quisumbing Ramilo, Lotsu Manes, and Tina Fernandez. I’ve seen the artworks that will be displayed and I must say that traveling along the major thoroughfares such as EDSA will be a different experience.
I was able to take a glimpse of the artworks last night and I like the messages of the following artworks: You are What You BrEAThe (by Jose Terence Ruiz), Best Things (by Gary Buenavista), and “Mag Resiklo” Daang Bakal by Christina Quisumbing Ramilo.
I commend 2nd Media for this and I do hope that more artists will be featured there.
Consumer Electronics Exhibit opens this October
The biggest, most exciting interactive Consumer Electronics Show in the Philippines is set to open its doors on Oct. 24, Friday, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. The event, dubbed Consumer Electronics Live! (CEL) Manila 2008, will feature exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services in audio, video, digital imaging, computer products, home entertainment, home appliances, mobile and wireless electronics and automotive technology. The event aims to bring together all devices and gadgets that make life pleasurable.
