This is great news! Perf de Castro, one of the most admired Filipino guitarists will be here on August. Most of us have probably heard of Perf de Castro during the early days of Rivermaya. Perf collaborated with established artists such as Francis M., Wolfgang, Mike Hanopol, Gary Valenciano and more. Continue reading “Perf de Castro will be in Manila this August!”
Pupil’s Album Launch of Wildlife Special Edition has been a success. The bad weather that night did not become a hindrance to us. A lot of people arrived there early filling up the seats in the middle. Continue reading “Wildlife Special Edition Launch by Pupil”
Here’s my another attempt at live streaming/live tweeting. This of course will be shown here and on the QIK event page I’ve created. I’m doing this live streaming experiment again because I’ve somehow failed in showing the live stream video during the Big Bite Challenge Media Launch. Yup! The Special Edition of Wildlife will be launched later (July 10, 7pm) at SM Sky Dome in SM North EDSA. The Special Edition contains remastered tracks from the Wildlife album. In addition, bonuses such as demos, videos and a live EP are bundled with it. 😀 The special edition also features their current hit single ‚ÄúDifferent Worlds‚Äù. NIN (Nine Inch Nails) will have a concert on August 5, 2009 at the Araneta Coliseum. Thank you Splintr.com for making this possible. 🙂 And to make things more exciting, Pupil will be the opening for NIN. And guess what, they were personally selected by NIN amongst the list of bands submitted by Splintr. One of the biggest NIN fans I know is Ria Bautista of Paramita. I guess she’ll be watching the concert. Continue reading “Nine Inch Nails in Manila on August 5, 2009”
I used SM Megamall’s free WiFi to capture this video on my iPhone using QIK. The video length is around 19 minutes. I was happy with the results of this live stream because they have a nice audio setup made for the band. Manila Paris Confidential is an electronic jazz band. I’m wondering how would be the audio quality if I used it in a typical gig using a 3G internet connection. Based from my experience in live streaming this video, delay time ranged from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. The video got published in a minute.
