This upcoming event will be held on July 31st at Mag:net Bonifacio High Street. The artists who will be performing that night are Bembol Rockers, Sitti, Juan Pablo Dream and Olivia. Tickets will be sold at 300 pesos with 1 free drink. But, for groups of 4 or more, tickets will be sold at 250 pesos each.

“Huwag Kang Matakot” (originally by Eraserheads) is Chris’ latest video in YouTube. Aside from this particular song, other songs that he covered on video are: Sugarfree’s Dear Kuya, Parokya ni Edgar’s Sayang and Itchyworms’ Penge Naman. Chris started gaining 35 subscribers in YouTube after 2 months of joining and has 1,404 channel views as of this writing.

I had an experiment with Last.FM’s API. I used Simple XML and PHP and I accessed an XML web service. You can check out the experiment in Banda.PH’s Top 20 Pinoy Rock Songs. So, it does not necessarily mean that the songs listed in the page are actually the top 20 Pinoy Rock songs. This is just based from the data from Last.FM with the tag “pinoy rock”.

Infinitube is a new web toy built by Luis. He used Ruby on Rails, YouTube-GG Ruby Gem and YouTube’s Javascript API. He made this app in 8 hours. Well, as for me, we have a TV on our living room but I’m not comfortable using my laptop there since the height of the table will pose future posture problems. So, the only entertainment that I got here in my room is playing iTunes and playing a PSP game. With this new web toy built by Luis, I can watch something without leaving my room.

I’m excited about the upcoming WordCamp Philippines 2008 because Matt Mullenweg is coming! The conference will be held at DLS-College of Saint Benilde on September 6, 2008. The list of speakers are not yet finalized but the topics are interesting and would cater from beginner to advanced Wordpress users. (more…)

I just watched Journey to the Center of the Earth last night with Sha. The film is directed by Eric Brevig. The movie stars Brendan Frasier (Trevor Anderson), Josh Hutcherson (Sean Anderson), and Anita Briem (Hannah Ásgeirsson). The movie is based on the book “Journey to the Center of the Earth” by Jules Verne in a modern setting. (more…)
